Learning about Parliament
Today we welcomed Gillian Bell from the Parliament Outreach team who came to work with our Key Stage 2 children .She led a very interesting assembly on what happens in parliament and how you get to become an MP and then worked with Years 4 and 5 in different workshops. Year 4 turned their classroom into a debating chamber and held discussions on various issues, all chaired by Charlie our speaker! Year 5 devised their own manifestos to persuade others to vote for them. It was a really interesting morning and it appears lots of our children are potential politicians!
